who ya got?

So who ya got tonight, MSU or 'Chops' O'Rear, Ali 'the bomber' Farokhmanesh, and Jordan 'Big Ugly' Eglseder?  I'm gonna go against Gregas, and side with America....GO UNI!!

this blog thing is making a comeback...what is it, 2003?

I guess I'll try this for a while again now onto the current events that interest me.....

The youtube video above is of "The Shark" Mark Titus, and it is comedic gold.

I'm glad our our friend Castro gave such a ringing endorsement to the health care bill.

I guess I should have bought a house I couldn't afford earlier in life, apparently that's the way to go.

The great hope that is the Copperwood Mine, Is this the only thing that can save our area from economic disaster?  There's still a long way to go, and environmental regulations to pass, but the hope is there for some much needed jobs.

If you haven't heard, recently the Globe featured a story where future superintendent, Tim Kolesar stated that "economically disadvantaged" kids were causing low MEAP scores.  I don't have the link to the original story, as the Globe's site is lame.  I will forward you to some responses from the Superior Chronicle.  This has set off quite a firestorm, as you would imagine.  There have been new letters to the editor in the Globe everyday since.  The thing is, even if you believe this statement...it's just something you CANNOT say, especially in an area like Ironwood.  I personally feel that the parents' involvement has more to do with their kid's success, than their income level.  I'd be interested to hear other points of view on this......I encourage comments!

My love of the Brewers is known by most who will read this.  It looks like Suppan and Parra will battle for the last rotation spot.  My vote is to cut your losses with Suppan now.  Pay the man his 12 mill and let him walk.  He's basically taking up a roster spot from someone who could help your team.  I'm headed down to the games on 4/9 - 4/10...if anyone else is down there.....find us we'll be tailgating it up right.

Lee injured when chair folds like a Cub...gotta love the cubs

For those of you who enjoy TV....I recommend checking out Alan Sepinwall's blog.
